The department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology was one of the foundation departments of the hospital. The department was first accredited for postgraduate medical training by both National Postgraduate Medical College and West African College of Surgeon in 2013 and 2015 respectively and got full accreditation by the National Postgraduate Medical College and West African College of Surgeon in 2015 and 2020 respectively.
